MANAGER: (INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY SERVICES)
HR Recruitment & Consultancy Ltd in Dar es Salaam is looking for a competent Manager who is vested in International development advisory services (IDAS).
The IDAS (International Development Advisory Services) unit focuses on understanding clients' organizations and operations, and supporting them in delivering their development programmes.  Our work for donors and philanthropic organizations includes providing programme and fund management services in the areas of private sector development and governance enhancement programmes. We also support the development and performance of international donors, international non-government organizations (INGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs).

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a key team member of the IDAS team in Tanzania, working directly with international donors, INGOs, CSOs and private sector enterprises, as well as company’s offices and manage development programmes of the company.
Lead organizational risk assessments of Small/Medium Enterprises (SMEs); INGOs and CSOs.
Lead financial monitoring and capacity building projects.
Provide financial and risk management advice to company managed programmes and funds.
Participate in proposal-writing and research to identify new business opportunities.
Preparation of reports and presentations to international donors, INGOs, CSOs and others and
Lead the development of relevant thought leadership work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 
Bachelors’ Degree from a reputable University.
Relevant Masters’ Degree desirable.
Minimum of 5-7 years’ work experience in a reputable professional services firm, ideally in Advisory / Management Consultancy, but with a financial / audit background (preferably amongst the Big Four)
Professional qualifications: ACCA, CA or CPA.
Experience of working with donors, civil society organizations or governments, particularly in improving financial management and supporting organizational development;
Experience of working on donor funded projects; and
Additional qualifications including qualifications in CISA, CIA, CFA and IMIS, Managing Successful Programmes, Prince II are an added advantage.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Understands key aspects of the financial risks and controls, and is able to prepare cash-flow, budgeting, income and expenditure analysis and reporting.
Understands the core tenets of organizational development.
Conversant in the key components of the project management cycle, ideally including strategic planning and monitoring & evaluation.
Ability to lead a team and to work as a member of a team sharing knowledge and providing guidance and technical advice where necessary.
Strong and flexible communications skills - liaising with clients, management and staff, in person, by phone or in writing.
Excellent proposal-writing, business development and presentation skills.
Well-developed problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
Strong workshop facilitation skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and resolve conflicting demands.
Willingness to travel throughout Tanzania and the wider region.
Socially confident and able to create a strong presence with clients and the company team, and generate business through relationship selling.
